Wilson 801241 / 801242 Mobile Pro Cell Signal Booster

The Wilson Mobile Pro comes in two models; Wilson 801241 includes the 12" magnet mount antenna and the Wilson 801242 includes the Wilson 4" mini-mag antenna.  This is a wireless cell phone booster that works with 800/1900MHz CDMA, GSM and TDMA carriers.

 

Wilson's SignalBoost Mobile Professional improves cell phone and data card performance on the road, in airports, hotels and office buildings.  With 2 times the output power of a typical cell phone, it features a built-in antenna, supports mutiple phones and data cards, works with Cellular 800MHz and PCS 1900MHz frequencies, and offers multiple power options (USB port, vehicle outlet and AC outlet).

 

The Mobile Professional is available in multiple kit configurations.  Setup is similar with all the kits and can easily be done in a few minutes.  An outside antenna is needed to communicate with the cell tower.  Magnet mount antennas like the 12" 301125 are placed on the roof of the vehicle.  This outside antenna is connected to the 801240 cellular amplifier.  A good place for the amplifier is on the dash or center console.  From this location the amplifier can be plugged into the vehicle's power supply.  The 801240 has a built-in internal broadcast antenna.  Broadcast distance from the amplifier depends upon the outside cell signal strength and the carrier frequency.  Broadcast distances usually range from about 2-4 feet.  A suction cup window mount bracket is provided to mount the 12" or 4" magnet mount in a nearby window for better reception.
